Canada in Afghanistan Lecture

This Friday, March 7th, at 19:00 Amnesty International Concordia will be hosting a lecture by Dr. Alistair Edgar who has written extensively on international relations and is the director of the Academic Council on the United Nations System (www.acuns.wla.ca) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Academic_Council_of_the_United_Nations_System).

His lecture will surround Canada's military presence and human rights concerns thereof. While not a human rights activist, Dr. Edgar's presentation will illuminate human rights issues from the angle of international law and peacekeeping. We hope his presentation will attract students who are interested in the issue, and that they will feel free to ask questions at the end of the lecture.

The talk will be held in a conference room on H-763, at 19:00 this Friday. See you there!
